Eight more weeks to go......belly is getting really really big.....

Week 28

Ultrasound pictures and belly pictures, unfortunately baby is only at 38%, he is a bit smaller, but he is doing fine, just need to be monitored.

Leg Cramping......

Ouch Ouch Ouch Ouch Ouch.... is all that I could use to describe the leg cramping at night..... not only that it wakes me up for sleep, it wakes Albert up.... and I am in so much pain that I often find myself sweating.... and by the way, the leg swelling is not just for when you fly..... it applies for when you don't move either..... after 4 hours drive to Lansing..... I find my calves swollen up..... Alright enough complaining...... our son is definitely packing on pounds as I have gained 12lbs since the beginning.... his punches and kicks are getting more powerful as he grows.... couple times this weekend he punched me right in the bladder, and the end result is...... I had to pee really really bad.... and Albert had to find a bathroom quick during our long trip.... thank god there are no traffic, or else i would be really really doomed...... Hello all, I am a boy!
Today I went to my 20 weeks (really actually went past 20 weeks) ultrasound to make sure baby is ok..... everything is normal. He is at 49th percentile, average weight, height and everything. He is now about 11oz, about the size of a small melon. And yes we did find out the sex...... dang dang dang dang........ it's a boy with a third leg.....Baby is very active, kept kicking and moving around during ultrasound...... Miss Nurse was very patient and nice with him, and tried many many shots to take the heart, brain, kidneys and placenta..... unfortunately the placenta and umbilical cords insertion area is not very clear.... so I have to go for another High-Def ultrasound so they can make sure everything is ok...... (sigh) another doctor appointment. I also noticed something from the ultrasound pictures..... i think baby has my nose...... uh-oh..... why can't he have Albert's nose.... it's much taller than mine....... Oh well, as long as he is healthy.... I can't ask for more...... ^_^

20 Weeks

Baby is a very very active one, keeps kicking day and night..... complains a lot, whether it is my pants too tight, sitting position or just simply getting hungry. My tummy is getting a bit bigger now, but still couldn't quite convince peole that I am 4 and half months pregnant (half way through already). I am so jealous of all the pretty moms-to-be with their big belly, it's so beautiful. I have also started playing classical music and Nat King Cole to baby, also doing some belly rubs to help it's muscle development. Hopefully we will have a smart and healthy baby, another checkup on Monday so will write back and give you all an update.....

18 Weeks small baby bump

Stomach is slowly starting to show after Labor day weekend. It was quite surprising to feel the little fluttering in the stomach. At first, I wasn't sure if I was just gassy, or whether it was truely baby moving.... it is especially vigorous in the morning, you can tell the strong reactions against sneezing.... baby apparently is telling me that he could feel me sneeze, and perhaps telling me "bless you"? There are some other times when my pants are pretty tight, as I sit down, I could feel the push against my pants..... I think it's trying to say "stop trying to suffocate me!" Well, I think it's time for maternity pants for sure.......

13 Weeks and 2 days

Finally i am over the first trimester.... so happy, the morning sickness has gotten better, but still gets triggered if I eat too fast or eat too much..... For now, all melons are off the menu...... every single time I eat any type of melon, I end up throwing up........ Milk makes me run to bathroom often.... seems like whatever Albert doesn't like to eat, I react to it now....... =( I know a lot of you has requested baby bump pictures....... unfortunately not much to show, but here's the picture at the end of first trimester.

12 weeks 4 days

The white lines you see are the jaws spines and ribcages.... I think baby has a flat nose like me..... hopefully it's still growing... so it can be taller like Dad...

One interesting thing to share, this is our first non-vaginal ultrasound, and when the doctor pressed the proctor against my belly, baby's legs kicked...... I wish they would take a video of that......=(

Don't make any presumptions yet, the ball-like thing you saw is the same for girls and boys at this time. We won't find out the sex until 1 month or 2 later ^_^..... Baby still likes to hide behind his hands, but you can see little toes and fingers forming now.

5/11/09 10th Week

You cannot believe the weekend I had from Friday night to this morning. Non-stop vomiting, whatever I ate I puked it up. Even my beloved watermelon..... I think i jinxed myself by telling everyone that I am so lucky that I don't have morning sickness.....=( Of course this morning before I went to work, I had to do the deed..... making me late again.... and then another time in the office.....

Went to see the doctor this afternoon. Had another ultrasound, the baby has grown so much.... and officially graduated from Embryo to Fetus.... congratulations! Heart beat at 170. The ovarian cysts got smaller which is good news, but the bleeding spot got bigger which is kinda worrying... they did ask me if I am spotting, I said no...... not since he last time and even then it was only a few days.... very worried... hope everything is ok.... they also gave me a 3-D image of the baby, and it looks like a puppy......hahaha probably because I have a dog and cat at home.... then took 7 vials of blood... yikes... my arm is hurting so badly..... at least they used the smaller needle.... but they poked me pretty deep and hard. Then right after that they asked me for urine sample... crap, I just peed...... so I had to sit there drink water and try to give me half a tiny cup of urine... which took me another 45 minutes..... hey, I was officially running dry......

I hope tonight there won't be any more vomiting.... asked the doctor opinion about morning sickness, and she said couple options SEA-Band, Vitamin B complex, and prescription.... decided to stay away from Prescription for now, as I want to get everything as natural as possible... going to get SEA-Band and Vitamin B and try it out.

So far here are the short list that I can eat.... without puking it up of course.... tomatoes, bread, soup (light), some fruit, and plenty of ginger chew candy.... plenty...... I have a candy bag that I carry in my handbag with mint and ginger candy, it helps the hours in the office waiting go by so much faster without thinking of my stomach.

Just finished telling friends about me being pregnant last night, and was boasting about not getting any of the bad symptoms… sure enough today I felt the gagging… it was horrible, I almost felt better if anything would have just come out…. But nothing did, which I guess is a good thing….. but still I ended up in the bathroom sitting for a while….. Poor Albert had to rush to the H-mart to get me ginger….. that helped to suppress the gagging feeling…. I am so glad he is here, otherwise I wouldn’t know what to do with myself…. I am so lucky to have him. Love him so much.

Took Haku to dog park, he had so much fun…. He rubbed his face in the mud…. So we came in with a white dog and left with a grey one….. haha, it was good taking walks under the sun, very very nice. Afterwards, all of a sudden had cravings for burger, asked Albert if we could go to Red Robbins…. Had a burger salad, burger patty with greens… and of course garlic fries… yummy… however babi ordered the Red Robbin burger, which had a fried egg. I almost wanted to puke just looking at it…. Ever since I ate eggs for 2 straight weeks, I started to hate it…… eggs just churns my stomach…. Uh-oh I hope it’s not food aversion coming up….. but my newly developed sense of smell… my gosh is so strong……

Had tummy aches, headaches and diarrhea for 2 days, ended up calling doctor and went…. To see if everything is ok…..turns out fine…… hehehe happy, they thought maybe I was getting swine flu…. Yikes….. ended up working at home for the afternoon, which is nice, considering the weather was very crappy.

Went to Lily’s place for dinner….. very nice, get to play with her kids…. I hope my kids will be like hers when they grow up. Jo Jo is very active and hyper when he saw Haku, kept humping him……. Albert promised to swap Haku with Jo Jo, so maybe he can help to discipline him……. Can Albert handle this challenge??????? I think our first challenge would be to try and not argue more than once a month after baby is born.... I think that will be tough.

Went to doctor as yesterday started spotting….. and cramping….. they did blood test and ultrasound….. baby was fine…. Whew….. heart rate at 100, hehehe just as it should be. But I was told not to run anymore…ummmmmmm not happy…….. They also found some bleeding and ovarian cysts..... but said not to worry as they will watch over it......

Work is so busy last couple days I finally had a breather….. man my appetite is really really really good…. No morning sickness whatsoever….. I can’t believe I am so lucky…. Hahaha all I do is eat and sleep hope I won’t become a little piggy soon…. The only thing that bothers me is the cramping…. Like having period, except consistently throughout the day…….

Called mom and asked for her opinion on abortion, she said if we will never have children then fine, go ahead with it, if we thought about having kids, then don’t do it and keep this child. I agree with her, especially I am not sure how or if I can get pregnant again…..

Albert and I had a talk…. To keep the baby or not….. I really really really want to keep it, because who knows if and when I will get pregnant again, plus it’s a life, it’s our love…. I always thought I would be the first to say that I will have the abortion, but when I actually found out that I am pregnant, it was very hard for me to do it, I felt very protective and motherly about it….. almost too motherly. I understand what Albert said about me losing opportunities at work, and it will be hard for me and it’s not the right timing etc, but I am willing to give up my life for the little one inside me, anything for it. I thought about adoption, but abortion is definitely a no-no, even if it means I will give birth to it, and give it up for adoption. I am sorry Albert, but I feel very strongly about this…..

We had a great party, food was good, although I think we had a little bit of problems with the grill, but it ended up grilling the lamb very nice, tasty and juicy… hehehe all thanks to my darling babi……. Really good at cooking…. Hahaha I am so lucky…. Well of course people noticed that I didn’t drink so I am sure they are pondering if I am or not. We played Wii, rock band was awesome…. And the cheer was just funny when all the guys are trying the follow the cheerleader…. Haha I took a picture of that.

First thing in the morning that I woke up, I took the test….. seeing the test turning positive…. Oh my gosh, I am pregnant…… at first very very very happy, then started getting scared and crying. Not sure if I can give the baby everything it needs, and not sure if I will be a good mother. Told Albert in the morning, he was in shock the whole day, couldn’t even get the car in gear, and our car kept dying. We went to Meijer to prepare for the party next day, and I told my mom that morning. She was shocked too, but ended up very happy about it. And told me to eat eggs and drink milk. I went to Meijer to pick up pre-natal vitamins, and another pack of pregnancy test, since Albert thinks that it might be wrong…..

Been late for 4 days, unlike me, since generally I am late for 1 day or 2, but not 4. Have a hunch that something is up, so went to Walgreens tonight to pick up pregnancy test, just to be safe. Read the instructions carefully, they say it’s best to test in the morning, so I guess I will wait in the morning.
